Recently our Office Manager, Lisa, reached her tenth year working with and for The Almasri Marzwanian & Sepulveda Law Group with great dedication. She constantly invests herself in her work & is usually the last one to leave the office every day. She’s an essential part of what makes our operation a success, and so the decision was made to give her a gift in expression of our gratitude…
But an occasion like this demands more than just wrapping paper and a bow:
We just had to prank her.
So on Lisa’s big day, she was presented with a cake, and she was appropriately thankful. She was told that the Partners had also intended to give her a balloon, but it came loose in the high ceiling of Lake Highlands Tower’s atrium, and she waved it off since it’s the thought that counts. Lisa got to work with her usual diligence- which is good, since our Partners arranged for everything to go wrong that day.
She was needed three places at once. Files were missing. Everything was time sensitive & any error would have serious consequences. Each of the Partners took time to remind her of how much responsibility she has been entrusted with. As they put more pressure on her, Lisa’s cheerful demeanor began to crack & after a few hours, she was downright edgy. Everything was going perfectly.
So Sam Almasri & Jessica Sepulveda came to her with their serious faces on and explained that a client was furious with the firm, that their high-value case had been bungled beyond repair- the statute of limitations had passed before we could file suit, and they placed the blame on her head! The client, they explained, was outside & demanded to speak with those responsible.
For someone as committed to their work as Lisa, missing statute is a cardinal sin & she would never allow it on her watch- she was livid as the three made their way out to the parking garage. What happened next was captured on the film below:
The “angry client” turned out to be Avo Marzwanian, delighted by a perfectly executed plan & sitting in the driver’s seat of her brand new car. Congratulations to Lisa for her ten year anniversary with AMS Law Group, and on her shiny new Cadillac. We appreciate all you do for us & are very lucky to have you on our team. Enjoy it! Drive safe!
